Heroes: Adris, Caerwyn, Vigath, Varyss, Tylkilia

The Heroes explain to King Hekaton how they were sent to find him from his daughter Serissa. When they tell him about Iymrith's betrayal and the theft of the Scepter, he's eager to return home. Caerwyn is about to activate the conch of teleportation, when colossal tentacles come out of the sea to destroy the ship the Heroes are standing on! Luckily, the power of the conch whisks them away before the kraken can focus its attention on them.

Back in Maelstrom, King Hekaton gathers a few storm giant warriors. Serissa makes a mighty gift to the Heroes, a potion that will turn them into giants for one day. Having magically divined Iymrith's location, the giants and the Heroes teleport to the Anauroch desert, and assault the blue dragon's lair.

They fight through a token gargoyle opposition, before entering the underground lair of the dragon. The Heroes turn into giants, and the battle is joined. The ancient dragon fights with cunning, but giants and Heroes bring down the mighty wyrm. The final blow is inflicted by Adris, who summons a magical plague of insects that consumes Iymrith with millions of tiny bites.

With the scepter recovered and Hekaton once again sitting on his throne, the Storm Giant King is confident in his ability to restore the Ordning and end the chaos afflicting the Sword Coast. The Heroes receive the accolades of the storm giants, and after a mighty feast they get ready to go back home.

Heroes: Caerwyn, Tylkilia, Varyss, Vigath

Serissa gives the Heroes a wooden coin with the sigil of a golden goose. The Heroes investigate the coin's origin, and track it to a gambling barge sailing the Dessarin river and docking in Yartar.

The Heroes travel to Yartar, and board the "Grand Dame". There they rapidly subdue the captain of the ship, a cultist of the Kraken Society. They obtain information regarding another ship sailing the Trackless Sea, the "Morkoth", where King Hekaton is kept prisoner.

The Heroes contact the crew of the flying ship that accompanied them not too long ago, and ask for a lift to the Trackless Sea. Surveying the Trackless Sea from upabove, after a few days of travel they spot a squid-shaped ship: on its deck, a regal storm giant is tied by magical chains.

They assault the ship with barrels full of lantern oil, before making their descent among the flames. They rapidly dispatch the crew and their captain, and free King Hekaton from its chains. With a roar, the mighty giant stands on his feet, still uncertain of his current situation.

Session 14

Heroes: Adris, Caerwyn, Vigath, Varyss, Tylkilia

The Heroes find the magical conch among Kayalithica's possessions. They also find a prisoner gnome, a clockmaker from a nearby town. They leave the stone giants' lair, and deliver the gnome back to his home. They're rewarded with a few clockwork devices, and also obtain "Tic-Toc", a gnome-sized automaton.

By summoning the power of the conch, the Heroes are teleported to the Maelstrom, home of the Storm Giants. They are immediately accused to be assassins by two Storm giant princesses, Mirran and Nym, and  attacked. They hold their ground, and manage to attract the attention of Serissa, the third daughter of the missing King Hekaton, currently in charge of the Maelstrom.

When she arrives, she listens to what the Heroes have to say. When they reveal what the Oracle told them about a blue dragon having infiltrated her court, Serissa's turns to her councellor Iymrith in surprise. The giantess grabs Serissa's magical scepter, and tries to escape. Adris dispels her disguise, and her true form is revealed: the same Ancient Blue Dragon that attacked them at the Oracle!

The Heroes and the giants try to capture the dragon, but she teleports away with the scepter. Serissa turns to the Heroes to investigate the details of this plot.

Adris

Firbolg Druid (Moon)

Adris… Even after 200-something-years, the name given to him by the Elves tasted odd in his mouth. Names are an odd thing, not used by the Firbolg. The children of the forest are named by their actions and deeds… Not something random chosen at birth.

But outside the forest, that’s the name he used to present himself to the other inhabitants of this world. He used it a lot these days, as he traveled across Faerûn. He travelled by order of his tribe’s elders, looking for the cause of chaos in this world.

His entire tribe was on the move, forced to flee from their green glades by neighbouring Fire Giants cutting down their trees for their forges. They had never done so in the past, they had always used their cavernous heats or magic, only occasionally taking dead wood for their campfires, which the Firbolg gladly allowed.

But now they came in force, taking down trees at their whim, some even older than the Eldest of Adris' tribe. Every attempt to talk to the Giants was met with agression and violence. So they fled and Adris was sent out to see if the other races in this world where having similar problems and what was causing these.

Session 13

Heroes: Caerwyn, Vigath, Rattler, Adris

The Heroes leave the Oracle chamber, but when they go back to the temple they find waiting for them a gargantuan blue dragon! Harshnag throws himself at the wyrm, and orders the Heroes to run away and compelte their mission.

The Heroes leave the temple, and are surprised to see a floating airship anchored near the entrance. They crew of the ship was sent to them by Klauth, the great wyrm of the North, who apparently has an interest in making sure the Heroes succeed in their quest. Having ascertained the crew's intention with a careful use of mind-reading magic, the Heroes accept the offer, and depart on the airship.

They fly bound to Deadstone Cleft, home of the stone giants and their leader Kayalithica. During the trip they get to know the firbolg druid Adris, a refugee from the giant's attacks that was picked up by the airship crew. Eager to get his revenge on the giants, Adris joins the party. At the same time, Rattler decides to join the crew of the airship, having found his true calling among the clouds.

After several days of travel they arrive at the canyon. They magically scout the premises from afar, not willing to face a clan of giant in combat, and come up with a plan to infiltrate Kayalithica's chambers. With the cover of darkness, they fly from their airship straight down into the cave complex on the side of the canyon, riding giant eagles summoned by Adris. They rush to Kayalithica, and unleash their magic and blades on the surprised giant leader. Kayalithica still puts up quite a fight, but in the end she falls in defeat.

The Heroes search her belongings, looking for the magical conch that will lead them to the Maelstrom.

Session 12

Heroes: Caerwyn, Rattler, Varyss

The Heroes brave the traps set in place by the ancient inhabitants of the temple, and solve the riddle to activate the portal that will bring them to the oracle chamber.

There they find the ghost of a murdered cloud giant, willing to help them summon the oracle if they will avenge his death. The Heroes agree, and the oracle is summoned.

The Heroes learn that the giants' attacks have been caused by the shattering of the Ordning, the ancient rules defining the hierarchy of the giant races in the eyes of Annam the All-Father. Now each giant race is trying to show to their gods that they should be placed first in the eyes of Annam.

In order to stop this chaos, the Heroes must find Hekaton, the Storm giant king, said to reside in Maelstrom. And to reach Maelstrom they will need one of the magical conches give to each giant leader.

Fate decides that they shall travel to the lair of the Stone Giants, where they must obtain the required artifact from the mighty Kayalithica, leader of the giants.

Session 11

Heroes: Caerwyn, Varyss

The Heroes witness the trial of the Watch Captain, where he confesses his crimes and his involvement with the Hand of Yartar, a criminal organization supported by the Zentharim. Harthal is set free, and the Heroes receive the Giantslayer greatsword.

They contact Zephyros to receive further instructions, and he tells them to await the arrival of the frost giant hero Harshnag. While they wait, they find the time to uncover and bring to justice the leadership of the local cells of the Hand of Yartar.

Eventually Harshnag arrives, and guides the Heroes to the Eye of the All-father, an oracle hidden under the icy peaks of the Spine of the World. The Heroes save many weeks of travel by using the Harpers teleportation network.

At the oracle they meet a group of barbarians apparently seeking to despoil the holy place. The Heroes defeat the wildlings, and proceed in their exploration.
